Singing Lessons

Building Confidence

Building confidence with children starts with creating a warm, playful and safe space where they feel truly listened to. Through gentle encouragement, age‑appropriate exercises and lots of positive reinforcement, we celebrate every small step they take. Rather than pushing for perfection, we focus on enjoying the process, helping them find their own voice and learn to express themselves proudly. Over time, this builds resilience, self-belief and a sense of joy in performing that carries beyond the singing lesson.

Vocal Health

Vocal health is at the heart of my teaching. Using principles from Estill Voice Training, we explore how the voice actually works so you can sing with freedom and without strain. Together we’ll build healthy habits around breath, support and resonance, as well as warm-ups and cool-downs tailored to your voice. This gives you the tools to sing confidently across styles, protect your voice for the long term and feel in control of your sound.

Exams

We can aim towards LAMDA, LCME or Trinity Musical Theatre exams, we’ll break everything down into clear, manageable steps. Together we’ll work on vocal technique, musicality and performance so you feel secure in both the technical and expressive sides of your pieces. We’ll also look at sight‑reading, aural skills and exam etiquette where needed, helping you walk into the exam room feeling prepared, confident and ready to do your best. Exams can also be taken via Video/Selftape

Auditions

Auditions can feel high-pressure, whether you’re stepping into the room for a professional job or applying for drama school. In our sessions we focus on choosing material that suits you, connecting truthfully to the text, and building a clear storytelling arc in your songs and monologues. We’ll also look at practical details like audition etiquette, self-tapes and dealing with nerves, so you can walk into the room prepared, grounded and ready to show who you are.
